A Day in the Life at Northern Plains Naturals: Loud, Lovely, and Led by Grace

Life here on the Northern Plains is anything but quiet—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Between homeschooling, herbal batches, soccer cleats, and late-night nursing calls, my days are full. But they’re also deeply rooted in faith, family, and the kind of stewardship that reminds me daily: God is in the details.

So today, I’m pulling back the curtain and inviting you into a typical day in my world. It’s loud. It’s lovely. And it’s led by grace.

Morning: Scripture, Pumpkin Spice, and Homeschool Chaos

My mornings begin with the Bible app’s verse of the day, a quiet prayer, and a steaming cup of pumpkin spice coffee—because yes, it’s autumn, and yes, I need the pick-me-up. I take a few moments to center myself before the house wakes up and the homeschool whirlwind begins.

Homeschooling in our home is loud, chaotic, and full of life. There are toddler interruptions, sibling debates, and bursts of laughter. And through it all, I see learning, growth, and God’s hand at work.

Midday: Lunch, Logistics, and Stewardship

After lunch, I shift gears into business mode. I check inventory, respond to emails, and prep herbal products with care. Every label, every batch, every decision is made with transparency and intention—because I believe stewardship starts with the small things.

This is also when I sneak in a few moments to plan, dream, and jot down new recipe ideas. My mind rarely slows down, but I’ve learned to embrace the creative hum as part of the calling.

Afternoon: Snuggles, Soccer, and Worship Through Music

Afternoons are for snuggles and stories with my toddlers, followed by the great shuffle—band practice, soccer drop-offs, and everything in between. We believe that honoring God through music is a beautiful form of worship, so we make space for it in our week.

Watching my oldest pour his heart into soccer reminds me that determination is a gift. His drive inspires me to keep showing up, even when the day feels long.

Evening: Nursing, Scripture, and Surrender

Most evenings, I work from home as a remote triage nurse for a Christian company. It’s a role I cherish—supporting elderly patients and the incredible caregivers who serve them with compassion and grace.

Before bed, I’ve started reading a chapter or two of my Bible. It’s become a sacred rhythm—one that quiets my racing thoughts and reminds me to surrender my burdens. From recipe ideas to unfinished chores, from parenting worries to work tasks—I lay them at His feet. He can shoulder them better than I ever could.

Why I’m Sharing This

Northern Plains Naturals isn’t just a brand—it’s a reflection of my life. It’s messy, meaningful, and full of grace. If you’re juggling faith, family, and a thousand tiny tasks, I see you. I’m with you. And I hope this glimpse into my day reminds you that even in the chaos, God is near.

With love and gratitude,
Cherise
